Why Navigator
This starts as our story, but it’s really about you.
Where we started
Navigator began in 1939 with a small group of Ingalls Shipyard employees. With only 100 members and $2,500 in deposits, Ingalls Employees Credit Union (IECU) began offering savings accounts and loans to members who, until then, had not had access to financial services.
We grew from there with a few name changes along the way. Today, there are more than 46,000 members who rely on Navigator for all of their financial services and life changing needs.
We are not a bank
We are a credit union, a not-for-profit institution, where members receive better rates, rewards programs, and financial products to help get ahead.
We are friendly
We have branches across the Gulf Coast, but our financial experts will give you personal attention and guidance. In a branch or online, our team is with you every step of the way.
You matter to us
Everyone matters to us. We look for ways to say “yes”, and we strive to help people grow their dreams.
